Drawings by Inagaki, Tomoo

From 1923 Tomoo Inagaki studied woodblock making and printing with Onchi Kōshirō and Hiratsuka Un'ichi, after he had a print accepted in their magazine Poems and Hanga, and as early as 1924 he started exhibiting with most current woodblock groups, Nihon Hanga Kyōkai among them, and published in the major magazines (Hanga a.o.).
After WWII he limited the scope of his work and concentrated on stylized and highly successful prints of cats.
