Biography Kamoshita, Chôko (1890 - 1967)

Kamoshita Chôko, who was born in Tokyo, studied painting at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts. His paintings were accepted for the Bunten and Teiten. Later he became a book illustrator, especially of historical novels; he also made several bijin-ga woodblock prints in the 1920s and 30s.
