Biography Shûseki, Okamoto 秋石岡本 (1868 - 1940)

Okamoto Shûseki was born in Tokyo on the 19th of January 1868. He graduated at the Tokyo Bijutsu Gakko, and became a pupil of Hashimoto Gahô (1835-1908). Other pupils Hashimoto Gahô had were Yokoyama Taikan, Kawai Gyokudô and Hishida Shunsô. He died on November 14th 1940.
