Condition:Chberi (middle part) of blue silk brocade, top and bottom of light-brown silk; off-white&silver ichimonji, off-white&gold futai. Red incised lacquer rollers, wooden box. Very good overall condition

The haiku was written by Natsume Sseki (1867-1916), one of the best-known modern Japanese authors, who wrote both poems and novels.
The poem reads:
Sit down a moment
Please drink the sake with us
Till all is finished
