Tagawa, Ken (1906 - 1967)

Bateau ivre - Drunken boat
Paper size: 18 x 14.5 cm. Self-printed in 1935, on a slightly irregular piece of paper.
The print most probably refers to the poem with the same title by Arthur Rimbaud written in 1871, certainly when we look at the ship's figurehead and the woman (?) seen floating in the sea.

Euro SOLD

Fine impression and colours, good, but not perfect condition: a a light horizontal crease and a few stains and abrasions verso.
Illustrated in the Chiba IV catalogue, plate 28-2.
