Akamatsu, Rinsaku (1878 - 1953)
Hanshin meisho zue (阪神名勝図絵) -
Pictures of celebrated places in Osaka and Kobe, published by the publishing house Bun'endo, led by Kanao Tanejirô, in 1917. Next to Akamatu Rinsaku designs were contributed by Noda Kyuhô, Hata Tsuneharu, Mizushima Nihofu and Nagai Hyosai. Thirty prints (34.5 x 24.5) published in a hangajo (folding album). Also included are a woodblock printed map and table of contents. The cover is in silk brocade, with a silk label with the title handwritten in sumi.

Fine impression and colours, very good overall condition. Only two or three sheets show minimal signs of foxing. This volume can best be read about on the internet, where you will find very many hits. This album looks most like the one held in the British Museum.
