Takehisa, Yumeji (1884 - 1934)

The Ladies' Graphic (Fujin Gurafu) Magazine of November 1926.
Inside a woodblock print by Takehisa Yumeji (the girl with the parasol), 20.5 x 17.5 cm., on the cover a woodblock print by "Tama Ishiwara" (石原玉吉 - Ishihara Tama) of the girl in the red hat (19 x 18.3 cm.). The magazine (see "detail") measures 24.5 x 33 cm. and is exceptionally well preserved. It has 60+ pp. with chromolithographs, b/w photographs, drawings, paper patterns and offers a fascinating insight into the world of the "moga" (modern girl) of Japan's roaring twenties.

Euro SOLD

Fine impression and colours, very good condition: The Yumeji woodblock print is in mint condition, the woodblock print on the cover has a small smudge left. A few (less important) pages have a few small tears.
