Kitaoka, Fumio (1918 - 2007)

Abstract
Paper size: 38 x 40 cm. Self-printed on May 5th 1954. Only existing copy (1/1). Stamped "F. Kitaoka" and the other print details in pencil.

One of the very few abstract prints made by Kitaoka Fumio in the early 50s. At that time he was strongly influenced (like his contemporaries) by Onchi Kôshirô.

Fine impression and colours, fairly good condition: as the paper is rather thin and of poor quality, there are several printer's creases (one reinforced verso). There are also some tape remains and a few small thin patches in the outer margins. However, in view of the great rarity of this print, it is well worth its price.
